Dr. Seema Azam
Dr. Azam is from Upstate New York. She is a graduate of the Siena/Albany Medical College Program in Science, Humanities and Medicine. Dr. Azam completed residencies in internal medicine and pediatrics at Albany Medical Center. She has a strong interest in preventative care, women’s health, and nutrition. Dr. Azam is board certified in Internal Medicine. She has been with Westford Internal Medicine since 2004. -
Dr. James Cohen
Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine and completed his residency at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. His special professional interests include men’s health. He has practiced in Westford since 1990. -
Dr. Stephan Goupil, DO, PhD
Dr. Goupil earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Ph.D. in biomedical science from the University of Connecticut Health Center. He completed his residency in family medicine at Hahnemann Family Health Center at the University of Massachusetts and is board certified in Family Medicine.

Sarah Hall, NP
Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Master’s Degree at Simmons College. She is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has been with Westford Internal Medicine since 2015. Her interests include illness prevention and treating acute conditions.

Dr. Truong Huynh
Dr. Huynh was born in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam. He immigrated to the United States as a teenager with his family, where they settled in Worcester, MA. He received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and proceeded to receive his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Huynh completed his family practice residency in Waterloo, Iowa before returning to Massachusetts. He is board certified in family medicine. His special medical interest includes diabetes, hypertension, and small surgical procedures, such as excisional biopsies and laceration repairs. Dr. Huynh has been with Westford Internal Medicine since 2009. -
Dr. Kristen McCarthy
Dr. McCarthy is board certified in family medicine. She grew up in New York; graduated from Marist College in 2004, attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Massachusetts Fitchburg in 2012.She continues teaching students and residents. In addition to practicing traditional osteopathic primary care for adults, Dr. McCarthy has an interest in osteopathic manipulation for various medical conditions. She has been with Westford Internal Medicine since 2014.

Katelyn Perkins, PA-C
Katelyn Perkins is a board certified Physician Assistant. After working as a researcher in the University of Massachusetts Breast Cancer Lab, becoming an Emergency Medical Technician and working as a medical assistant in urgent care, Katelyn was well prepared to earn her Master’s Degree in physician assistant studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her interest in health extends beyond work; Katelyn is a marathon runner and has been a volunteer in the Emerson Hospital Emergency Department, for therapeutic horseback riding lessons and for the Jimmy Fund Medical Tent. -
Lynn Rushton, NP
Lynn received her degree in nursing from Curry College and received her Master’s Degree at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. She is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As a Certified Nurse Practitioner Lynn’s professional interest’s focus on women’s health, health maintenance, and illness prevention. Lynn has practiced in Westford since 1990. -
Monica Sullivan, NP
Monica grew up in the Midwest and has been in the Boston area since 2007. She completed her undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and her Master's Degree at Boston College. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a particular interest in nutrition, exercise therapy, and preventative health maintenance. Prior to joining Westford Internal Medicine in 2019, she worked as an NP/PCP at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. -
Ashley E. Tavares, MS, FNP-C
Ashley Tavares is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She later completed her master’s in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Ashley’s clinical interests included preventative care, health maintenance, and holistic medicine. She is passionate about being a mom to her two children and living a healthy lifestyle. Outside work, she enjoys spending time out in nature doing activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking. She also loves traveling and cooking.

Dr. Sarah Taylor
Dr. Taylor is a Massachusetts native. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is an undergraduate of Brown University, attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts, and completed her residency at Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Taylor’s clinical interests include prevention, hypertension, and behavior change. Her goal with her patients is to help them make their own best healthcare decisions. Dr. Taylor has been with Westford Internal Medicine since November 2005. -
Dr. Katsiaryna Tsyrkunova
Dr. Tsyrkunova is originally from Belarus. She graduated from Grodno Medical School, Belarus in 2003. She practiced as an attending critical care/anesthesiology doctor prior to coming to the United States. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Berkshire Medical Center and practiced as a primary care physician in Berkshires. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine. Dr. Tsyrkunova joined Westford Internal Medicine in 2019.
